Last night I watched the first half of the program. I video taped it at the broadcast time and never had a chance to see the tape till yesterday. There are pictures of the Funk Brothers all over the place and in a small way this is further proof that the glory days of Motown were in Detroit. In every picture of a band playing either in the studio, on TV or live, IT was Jamerson whom I saw on Bass. There was even a Studio shot of him playing the 5 string Fender bass in a session. I would surmize that such evidence would make it awfull hard to deny that Jamerson was the bassist. This is not said to deny the participation by Bob Babbitt, Tony Newton or the other Detroit bassist who rose from the wake of Jamersons impact at Motown.
